Ep. 28 – Lisa Penn: Partner Enablement & Managing Through the Noise

“Whatever the vendor’s priorities are, doesn’t necessarily mean that they are shared by the partners.”

Lisa Penn is the Chief of Staff for Global Partner Marketing responsible for strategic initiatives targeted to position SAP as the global partner of choice for cloud resellers. Digital transformation, AI programs, channel transformation and program ROI are just a few of her priorities this year.   She’s back on the podcast, talking partner enablement and what it takes to execute strategy and meet your business objectives in a noisy channel.

Prior to SAP, Lisa held successful leadership roles with Avaya, Lucent and Octel Communications. She has held senior management roles with specialization in partner marketing, international business development, channel management, re-engineering and business operations.

She is also a member of the Professional Business Women of California, Watermark, National Association of Professional Women, SAP Business Women’s Network and SAP Black Employee’s Network. She is also active in local non-profit efforts focused on family and children.

As you may well imagine, Lisa is a person with a broad and well-informed perspective into what it takes to grow both sales and engagement in a global sales channel.  We still get a ton of downloads on her first episode, Innovating for Impact in Channel Sales, and this time she digs even deeper into strategy and what it takes to make it all work…
