1. Why did you join the technology industry?
I have always been obsessed with gadgets and technology. By the time I graduated high school, I knew I wanted to study business with a major in Marketing at University. I became interested in targeting courses towards focusing on the consumer market. My first sales position was in the financial industry, and I was fortunate to gain experience in sales and marketing. From that point on, everything fell into place. I was looking for a tech savvy company closer to home in the marketing/sales field, that focused on consumer electronics. A consumer electronic distribution company was advertising for a marketing administrator, and I thought it was a great opportunity for me. I moved up through various marketing roles and eventually became Marketing Manager for Canada. As of October 2016, I accepted a position at 360Insights as an Account Marketing Manager. During my first interview, I immediately felt comfortable and was so impressed by the young, energetic staff and this technology driven company.

2. Who is the person who has inspired you professionally?
I have had many people who have inspired me, professionally and personally. One of my notable mentors is Business Consultant Patrick McKeever (from Patrick McKeever Consulting). Pat has been my coach, support, and has made me a noticeably stronger person, for the last 20 years. He has guided me and provided the needed skills in the business environment. As a personal mentor, Todd Skinner inspired me to believe in pursuing my business goals (and dreams).

3. If you could give one piece of advice to your 13-year-old self what would it be?
Live everyday without regret. Balance your life with work and family. Don’t sweat the small stuff. Try to prioritize a few true important things and let the rest slide.

4. How do you think we can encourage more women in tech?
Over the past 20 years of my career, I have noticed an increased amount of women presence in high profile positions in the tech. world. Despite the rising number of women in the technology industry, men still seem to dominate in numbers. 360insights clearly promotes advancements for opportunities for women, and I am so thrilled to be part of this driven channel Incentive company.

5. What is the best part of your job?

I am most proud of being part of this energetic growing technology company and building relationships with clients. The best part of my job is that it challenges me everyday. I am a people person and enjoy working with my co-workers and the 360insight clients.
